5. Purchase of mini-split heat pumps from West Texas Air Conditioning and Heating (Action Required)
Description:
The district plans to install 2 commercial mini-split heat pumps at the High School band hall. This equipment replacement is part of the disaster declaration.

6. Purchase of Newstripe Newrider 5000 striping machine (Action Required)
Description:
The district's striping machine is in need of replacement. The Maintenance Director is requesting to purchase the Newstripe Newrider 5000, a new ride-along striping machine that is comparable to the machine we are replacing. Pro Chem Sales is the vendor we purchase our striping materials from, and they have the machine available.

Description:
District Administration proposes the following meal prices:
Student Breakfast: $2.10 Student Lunch: $3.30 Adult Breakfast: $3.40 Adult Lunch: $4.30 These are the same prices as the 2025-26 school. |

8.A. Consider Memorandum of Understanding between Frank Phillips College and Sunray ISD for the 2026-2027 school year. (Action Required)
Description:
Frank Phillips College provides dual credit courses in Agricultural Science to Sunray CISD students.

8.B. Consider Application for K-12 Blanket Athletics and Activities Accident Insurance with National Health Insurance Company. (Action Required)
Description:
National Health Insurance Company provides accident insurance for all school activities and athletics. The policy is written by Arnold & Associates Insurance Services, LLC.

8.C. Consider contracts with Region 16 Educational Service Center (Action Required)
Description:
Sunray CISD contracts for several services through the Region 16 Educational Service Center. The list of services contracted in 2025-26 and the proposed list for 2026-27 is attached. The district's three-year contract for VoIP Services with District 16 ends August 31, and we are awaiting a quote to continue those services. The district is also considering a Technology Services Proposal from Region 16 to provide onsite help desk, networking, cybersecurity, and firewall.

8.D. Consider TASB Risk Management coverage renewal. (Action Required)
Description:
Sunray Collegiate ISD participates in the TASB Risk Fund’s comprehensive coverage program which includes Auto, Liability, Property, Privacy & Information Security, Violent Act, and Workers’ Compensation coverage. These coverage lines require Concurrent Participation and may not be purchased on a stand-alone basis.

8.E. Consider contract with Panhandle Elite Sports Medicine to provide sports medicine services to student athletes.(Action Required)
Description:
Sunray Collegiate ISD has been unable to fill the Athletic Trainer position. The district obtained proposals from three sports medicine providers and selected Panhandle Elite Sports Medicine as the best value for the district. Panhandle Elite Sports Medicine will provide sports medicine services at games and will provide a weekly onsite visit for scheduled treatments. Treatment plans with video guides will be provided for days when they are not onsite.

8.F. Consider School Resource Officer Program Interlocal Agreement between Sunray Independent School District and Sunray Police Department (Action Required)
Description:
Sunray Police Department provides a School Resource Officer Program consisting of one full-time School Resource Officer, their vehicle, supplies and equipment. This is a renewal of the 2025-26 contract.

Description:
Lakeshore IT provides onsite Help Desk, Network, and Cybersecurity Support.

8.H. Consider Central Texas Purchasing Alliance Interlocal Purchasing Agreement (Action Required)
Description:
CTPA is an alliance of over 210 school districts in Central Texas and throughout the state, representing over 1.5 million students with a collective desire to share experiences, tools and knowledge. Central Texas Purchasing Alliance’s purpose is to support and provide information and services to the purchasing departments of these districts. The following is a list of some of the services provided:

8.I. Grant Services Agreement with Kish Russell, LLC (Action Required)
Description:
Kish Russell, LLC will provide grant consulting, technical assistance, leadership support, administrative program and fiscal support services for district staff to effectively manage, monitor, and implement grant-funded programs. Kish has more than 20 years' experience doing this work. Kish Russell, LLC is an approved vendor through Northside ISD, a member of the Central Texas Purchasing Alliance.

9. Discussion and possible action on 2026-27 School Calendar
Description:
The adopted 2026-27 School Calendar sets the graduation date as May 14, 2027, which is in conflict with the 2A State Track Meet May 13-15, 2027. District Administration requests time to carefully review and consider conflicts before proposing an alternative date.
