Quotes were received for the 2024 Bond Program Furnishings Package, Phase 1 - Geisler ESC, Phase 2 Furnishings, from multiple furniture contractors. Administration recommends the procurement of the furnishings package totaling $802,065.03. |

11. TRANSPORTATION SERVICES CONTRACT EXTENSION
Since 2013, Dean Transportation has proven to be a reliable partner in providing safe and effective pupil transportation services. The contract with Dean expired on June 30, 2026, and as a result, Administration recommends a five-year contract extension from July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2031, that includes performance requirements to achieve specified safety ratings for bus inspections and DOT safety records. |

12. DESIGNATION OF DEPOSITORIES FOR SCHOOL FUNDS
Each year the Business Office, under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent of Business Services, reviews and updates the list of banks and financial institutions to engage with during the following school year. That list is then brought to the Board for approval. |

13. SCHOOL INVESTMENTS
Each year the Business Office, under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent of Business Services, invests available funds as prescribed by the Michigan Revised School Code. Available funds are those not required in the immediate future to cover District financial obligations. Examples include bond funds while projects are underway, sinking funds that have not been obligated yet and property tax revenue received in the summer that will be spent throughout the school year. |

14. PROCLAMATION: CANCER AWARENESS MONTH - OCTOBER
The Walled Lake Schools Board of Education, administration, staff, students, and parents are proclaiming the month of October 2026 as Cancer Awareness Month. They will be renewing their commitment to increasing awareness about cancer and reducing the burden of this devastating illness during the month of October at many of our schools. |

15. MICHIGAN ASSOCIATION OF SCHOOL BOARDS DELEGATE ASSEMBLY
Delegates from boards of education across the state will decide MASB's positions on a wide variety of issues affecting education at MASB's Annual Leadership Conference Delegate Assembly on October 15, 2026. Only delegates and alternates nominated and approved by the Board may offer motions and vote on issues. |

16. BOARD MEETING LOCATION CHANGE
The 2026-27 Board Meeting schedule was publicized following the January 8, 2026, Special Organizational Board meeting. Due to the renovation of the Geisler Educational Services Center, the Board will consider changing the location of Board meetings from the Educational Services Center to the Geisler Educational Services Center beginning with the October 1, 2026, Regular Board Meeting. |
