9. RESOLUTION: APPROVAL OF SCHOOL IMPROVEMENT BOND PROPOSITION
Pending official notification from the Michigan Department of Treasury that the District’s Application for Preliminary Qualification of Bonds has been approved, administration will recommend that the Board approve the School Improvement Bond Proposition to be voted on at a Special School Election on May 7, 2024. |

The updated Board Policies were provided for the Board's review at the Regular Board meeting on January 11, 2024. The updated policies are in alignment with the current law, and Administration recommends the adoption of this updated Board policy.

13. RESOLUTION: MASB BOARD OF DIRECTORS ELECTION FOR REGION 8
The Michigan Association of School Boards (MASB) requests that the Walled Lake Schools Board of Education officially select one candidate for the MASB Board of Directors, Region 8 three-year term. The candidates are as follows: • Melandie Hines, Wayne Westland Community Schools, Wayne County • Birgit McQuiston, Lake Orion Community Schools, Oakland County (Incumbent) • Evelyn Pridemore, Redford Union School District, Wayne County |
