Description:
Project Description: In third grade, students are developing the skill of playing hand drums and rhythm sticks with a steady beat as well as playing rhythms with the same instruments. Throughout the rest of the year students will apply these skills to demonstrating understanding of multiplication and place value.
In kindergarten, the students are developing an awareness of the musical elements through playful songs and creative movement. At the same time, they are pairing this skill with those that are being developed in Language Arts such as demonstrating understanding if spoken words, syllables, and sounds. 1.F.4. Purchase of the O’Reilly Building (exhibit)

Description:
Before you tonight for your approval is the proposed purchase of the O’Reilly Parts building located adjacent to Syracuse Jr. High School. (See attached Map) After consultation with Principal Warnick, we propose the Board approve the purchase of this building for $1,650,000. It is the intent of the District and Syracuse Jr High School to create a Stem/CTE Center or a Health Science Center due to the growth in both programs. The school has experienced tremendous growth in both their Robotics and Health Science Programs. This will relieve an overcrowding situation on the main campus. We recommend your approval.

1.F.5. Resolution to approve the refunding the 2013A Bonds (exhibit)

Description:
Tonight for your approval is a request to approve a resolution (Attached) authorizing the District to issue up to $16,500,000 principal amount of General Obligation Refunding Bonds. These refunding bonds will pay off the balance of the 2013A bonds. The savings is estimated to be approximately $1.7m to the district. Mr. Leffel presented this in our January Workshop. We recommend your approval.

1.F.6. 10CR-200 Donations, Fund Raising, and Commercialism – FIRST and FINAL Reading (exhibit)

Description:
Five-year review. Made revisions in the donation section on donations with a value above $250 and ensuring donations comply with equity and Title IX guidance. Added language prohibiting the use of fundraising platforms for crowdfunding or payment service platforms. Made revisions in the distribution of flyers and materials section to reflect current practice.

1.F.7. Junior High and High School Fee Schedules – FIRST Reading (exhibit)

Presenting two possible fee schedules for both junior high and high school.
(a) schools may not charge for textbooks; and
(b) fee shall be equal to or less than the expense incurred by the District or school to provide for student activity, course, or program.
