3.A. Teen Center Projects (exhibit)

Description:
Teen Centers will be constructed in several schools. At Northridge High School an art room in the north wing of the building will be converted. At Layton High School a former computer lab adjacent to the media center will be renovated. Mountain High School will remodel the unused kitchen space. Renaissance Academy will clean up an existing restroom and laundry area. The configuration at each school is different due to the existing conditions in each building but there are differences in the way each school will manage the centers. All of them will have shower, changing, laundry, and private study areas. Some of them will have wellness centers or incorporate their school food pantry into the facility. Construction will begin immediately and is expected to be complete this spring.
