11. DC LOCAL give superintendent authority to hire from the day after the May Board Meeting, until the day before the September Board Meeting. The Superintendent will inform the board of any hiring under this authority before the hiring.

12. Consider and Possible Action to Adopt Resolution Authorizing Purchase of Real Property

Executive/Closed Session - Texas Government Code Chapter 551.074 Personnel Matters and 551.072 Real Property, Pursuant to Texas Government Code Section 551.071, private consultation with and consideration of Attorney’s advice regarding settlement offer for pending litigation against Defendant D&E Structures Consulting Engineers, LLP regarding Ozona Elementary School, regarding authorization of Superintendent Chavarria, as an authorized representative of Crockett Consolidated Common School District, to execute any and all subsequent release and settlement documents, as may be appropriate and necessary to finalize settlement, and regarding authorization of Pearson Legal, P.C., as litigation counsel of record for Crockett County Consolidated Common School District, to execute and file all motions and orders to dismiss or nonsuit pleadings, as may be appropriate and necessary to remove the pending litigation matter from the court’s docket. |
