2.A. Approval of Budget Amendments for the period ending April 14, 2016.

2.B. Approval for expenditure items less than $25,000.00.

2.B.1. Proposed approval to purchase equipment and supplies from O’Reilly’s Automotive in the amount not to exceed $4,986.47 to be paid utilizing State Career and Technical Education funds. 

2.B.2. Proposed approval to purchase instructional materials and supplies from Office Depot for the Summer School Program in the amount of $17,030.35 to be paid from State Compensatory Education Funds.

2.B.3. Proposed approval to purchase instructional supplies and materials for the Middle School Social Studies program from Nystrom Education in the amount not to exceed $11,700.00 to be paid with State Compensatory Education funds.

2.B.4. Proposed approval to purchase Reading Skill-by-Skill in Spanish and English versions as a supplemental reading support for identified At-Risk students in 2nd through 5th grade from Rally! Education to be funded from State Compensatory funds in the amount not to exceed $17,526.00.

3. DISCUSSION AND/OR ACTION ITEMS

3.A. Proposed approval to purchase equipment and supplies from School Health Corporation in the amount not to exceed $31,091.85 to be paid utilizing State Career and Technical Education funds. 

3.B. Proposed approval to increase the hourly rate of pay for 2016 summer school staff to $40 per hour for teachers, counselors, and nurses; $50 per hour for administrators, and $20 per hour for clerical staff to be paid from State Compensatory Education funds. 

3.C. Approve the implementation of the attached Career and Technical courses beginning with the 2015-2016 school year. 

3.D. Proposed approval to purchase classroom furniture from National Furniture in the amount of $44,693.04 payable from State Career and Technical Education funds. 

3.E. Proposed approval to purchase classroom furniture from School Specialty in the amount not to exceed $43,558.60 to be paid utilizing Federal Perkins funds and State Career and Technical Education funds. 

3.F. Proposed approval to purchase graphing calculators from EAI Education for secondary math students and purchase math manipulatives for elementary students with a grand total in the amount not to exceed $111,150.50 utilizing State Compensatory Education Funds and GT Funds.

3.G. Proposed approval to purchase equipment and supplies from School Outfitters in the amount of $51,452.82 payable from Federal Perkins funds and State Career and Technical Education funds. 

3.H. Proposed approval to purchase equipment and supplies from Carolina Biological in the amount of $49,224.05 payable from Federal Perkins funds and State Career and Technical Education funds. 

3.I. Approval to purchase instructional supplies from Educational Products, Inc. for an amount of approximately $250,000 funded by Title I, Part A of the Federal Elementary and Secondary Education Act.

3.J. Proposed approval to purchase Fountas and Pinnell Leveled Literacy Intervention, LLI Choice Libraries, The Reading Strategies Book and Assessment Systems as a supplemental reading support to include teacher directed resources for identified At-Risk Kindergarten through 12th grade students from Heinemann to be funded from State Compensatory Education funds in the amount not to exceed $238,491.10.

3.K. Proposed approval to purchase Language Power from Teacher Created Materials for English Language Learners in the amount not to exceed $66,778.66 to be paid utilizing State Compensatory Education funds.

3.L. Proposed approval to purchase instructional materials from TEKSING TOWARD STAAR for At-Risk Students in the amount not to exceed $47,622.30 to be paid from State Compensatory Education funds.

3.M. Proposed approval to purchase technology equipment from Dell to support the intervention programs and initiatives for at-risk students in the amount of $211,085.55 to be paid from State Compensatory Education funds.
