3.D.1. The Hidden Valley High School Band is requesting permission for out-of-state travel to attend the Western International Band Clinic (WIBC) in Seattle, Washington, November 18-21, 2011. Ben Lawson, director and students that are selected by the WIBC audition screening committee will be invited to participate. They expect 3-6 students will be selected. Students will be paying for this trip themselves ($310). The use of the ASB music account and fundraising events will be held to cover Mr. Lawson's expenses.

3.D.2. Federal Programs Director Peter Maluk requests approval for Peg Cowens to travel to Austin, Texas to the National Induction Network Conference on November 14-15, 2011. The purpose of attending is to work on an Oregon Mentoring Plan to gather data on teacher effectiveness and student achievement. The ODE co-presenter's fund will cover all costs associated with the conference. There is no cost to the district.
