4. A vote canvass to determine whether the two highest candidates for Place One in the Trustee Election held Saturday, May 6, 2017, Kathy Merritt, and Darrell (D.J.) Ferguson, received an equal number of votes;
|
|
5. A determination as to whether Ms. Merritt and Mr. Ferguson have reached an agreement to (a) resolve the tie vote by casting lots; (b) by one of these candidates filing a written statement withdrawing from the election; or (c) by means of a Second Election.
|
|
6. A determination to petition Hardin County election officials to conduct an automatic recount of votes cast in the May 6, 2017 Trustee election for candidates for Place One.
|
|
7. The open session of the meeting will recess and the Board of Trustees will convene in closed session for the following purposes.
|
|
7.A. The Board of Trustees may elect to meet in closed (executive) session to consult with its attorney regarding legal aspects of these matters, as permitted by section 551.071 (2),Tex. Gov’t Code.
|
|
8. Any action, decision, or vote on these matters will be taken in open (public) session, according to law.
