VI.B. NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Notice is hereby given that on April 28, 2025, the Board of Trustees of the Cotulla Independent School District (“District”) will hold a PUBLIC HEARING in compliance with Texas Natural Resources Code section 71.004.  The hearing will be held during the District’s regular board meeting, which begins at 6:00 p.m. at the Central Office Board Room located at 310 N. Main St., Cotulla, TX  78014 and will include the consideration of bids for a proposed lease of the oil and gas interests owned by the District, underlying the following real property:

Tract 1: That certain tract or parcel of land containing 10.00 acres, more or less, out of Survey 12, Abstract 1051, lying and being situated in the Town of Cotulla, located between Mustang Creek and Block Nos One (1, 2, 3 & 4) of the Garden Homes Subdivision No. 1 and known as the old Cotulla Football field area. Being further described in that certain Warranty Deed dated August 31, 1972, by and between The Board of Trustees of the Cotulla Independent School District as Grantor and Lola Gonzalez, as Grantee, recorded in Vol. 201, page 26 of the deed records of Clerk of Court, LaSalle County, Texas.

Tract 2: That certain tract or parcel of land containing 1.3223 acres out of Survey 12, Abstract 1051. Said tract described as being all of Block 1, (Lots 1-12), Town of La Salle Addition of the Town of Cotulla, a plat of which is recorded in Vol.12, Page 538 of the Deed Records of La Salle County, Texas.

Tract 3: That certain tract or parcel of land containing 0.09180 acres out of Survey 12, being all of Lot Number Three (3), in Block Number One (1), of Jay's Addition to the City of Cotulla, Texas, according to map or plat recorded in Volume F2, Page 621, of the Deed Records of La Salle County, Texas; and being the same land described in a deed from Ernestina Garcia to Cotulla Independent School District dated May 12, 1967 and recorded in Document No. 17550, Volume 143, Page 307, in the Deed Records of La Salle County, Texas.

VI.C. Consideration and possible action to adopt resolution accepting bid for oil, gas and mineral lease and authorizing the superintendent or his designed to negotiate a final oil, gas and mineral lease on the following tracts of real property:

Tract 1: That certain tract or parcel of land containing 10.00 acres, more or less, out of Survey 12, Abstract 1051, lying and being situated in the Town of Cotulla, located between Mustang Creek and Block Nos One (1, 2, 3 & 4) of the Garden Homes Subdivision No. 1 and known as the old Cotulla Football field area. Being further described in that certain Warranty Deed dated August 31, 1972, by and between The Board of Trustees of the Cotulla Independent School District as Grantor and Lola Gonzalez, as Grantee, recorded in Vol. 201, page 26 of the deed records of Clerk of Court, LaSalle County, Texas.

Tract 2: That certain tract or parcel of land containing 1.3223 acres out of Survey 12, Abstract 1051. Said tract described as being all of Block 1, (Lots 1-12), Town of La Salle Addition of the Town of Cotulla, a plat of which is recorded in Vol.12, Page 538 of the Deed Records of La Salle County, Texas.

Tract 3: That certain tract or parcel of land containing 0.09180 acres out of Survey 12, being all of Lot Number Three (3), in Block Number One (1), of Jay's Addition to the City of Cotulla, Texas, according to map or plat recorded in Volume F2, Page 621, of the Deed Records of La Salle County, Texas; and being the same land described in a deed from Ernestina Garcia to Cotulla Independent School District dated May 12, 1967 and recorded in Document No. 17550, Volume 143, Page 307, in the Deed Records of La Salle County, Texas.
