Administrative Recommendation: that the following addendum to the contract between Garrett Hogan and the Bellevue Board of Education dated February 9, 2026 be approved: the salary schedule(s) or ranges applicable to this contract shall be the official JROTC Minimum Instructor Pay as adopted and communicated to the Bellevue Public Schools by the Department of the Air Force for each contact period or A01A-02 on the adopted teachers' salary schedule for the applicable school year, whichever is greater. Nothing in this contract shall give said employee any right to positions other than those of the JROTC program. Certification requirements applicable to this contract shall include both Nebraska Department of Education and Department of the Air Force requisites.

Nebraska law allows public school employees to organize and bargain collectively with school boards on the issue of salaries. An agreement has been reached and ratified by the Bellevue Education Association, the employee organization representing teachers, nurses, school psychologists, and therapists. The negotiated agreement with teachers represents an agreement with a proposed total package increase of 3.99% for the 2026/2027 school year.
The current and proposed salary programs are attached. Also attached is the ratification notice from the Bellevue Education Association. Administrative
Recommendation: The administration recommends the Board approve the Teacher Negotiated Agreement as presented.

The chapter won Nebraska DECA Chapter of the Month for December and had 10 members get recognized for placing in their respective events; Robert Herechski and Alex Swoboda finished 6th in the Buying and Merchandising Team Decision Making; Madi Winger and Christian Salinas finished 4th in the Buying and Merchandising Team Decision Making; Joseph Mise finished 4th in the Principles of Business Administration; Braedy Streeter finished 7th in the Principles of Hospitality & Tourism event; Annibel Zaloudek finished 6th in the Principles of Hospitality & Tourism; Jack Gregarus medaled in 3rd place in the Hotel & Lodging Management; Claire Monjarez medal in 2nd place in the Quick Service Restaurant Management; and Anna Karl medaled 1st in the Principles of Hospitality & Tourism, winning her category.

Bellevue Public Schools offers all-day Kindergarten for all students. Kindergarten registration will be online through the BPS District website beginning February 17th for those children who are eligible to enter kindergarten in the fall of 2026. Children must reach their fifth birthday on or before July 31st of the current year (unless the child is eligible through early entrance assessment) in order to attend kindergarten.

The following programs and services will be offered to students during Summer 2026.
Summer School Summer School will be offered for elementary students entering grades K-6th and secondary students entering grades 7th-12th from June 1 - 19. Science, Technology, Engineering and Math Camps STEM Camps provide in-depth curriculum experiences at high levels for incoming 6th, 7th and 8th grade students. All three camps integrate science, technology, engineering, and mathematics into the classes. The Camps will be offered in three one-week sessions from June 22 - July 10 at the Bellevue Public Schools Support Center and Lied Activity Center. Cost of each camp is $100, except the week of July 4th with a cost of $80 per camp. |
