The Open Meetings Act requires and the intention of the Board is that agenda items be sufficiently descriptive to give the public reasonable notice of matters to be considered at the meeting. The Board of Education releases its agenda well in advance of most meetings and desires that all interested persons are fully informed.  Any interested person who has a question or needs clarification about the sufficiency of a descriptive item should contact the Office of the Superintendent of Schools.

If anyone in attendance is interested in addressing our Board, you are welcome to do so.  We simply request that you complete the appropriate form and turn it in to us now, so that you may be recognized during the 'Public Comment' section of our meeting.

Agenda items are subject to reordering at the discretion of the board president.  Board members may request specific agenda item(s) be moved to a different place on the agenda.  Please attend the entire meeting to ensure you hear discussion on a particular agenda item.

5.1. Boys Wrestling
Our wrestling program had a strong season. The following student-athletes qualified for and competed in the Nebraska State Wrestling Tournament, representing Sargent with pride:

• Emmett Grint

• Cazen Smith

• Oran Grint

• Blake Bottorf

• Brent “Twinkie” Shipporiet

Girls Basketball
The girls basketball team demonstrated determination and resilience throughout the season. Their effort, teamwork, and commitment to competing hard every game exemplified what it means to be Sargent Strong.

Boys Basketball
The boys basketball team had an outstanding season:

• MNAC Conference Champions

• Subdistrict Champions

• Narrow 1-point loss in the District Final, just short of qualifying for the State Tournament

In addition, Yahya Harris reached an impressive milestone by scoring 1,000 career points in just two seasons.

Cheerleading
Our cheerleaders competed in their first competition this year and provided excellent energy and support for our teams and fans throughout the season.

FFA – Career Development Events (CDE)
Approximately 360 FFA students participated in a variety of Career Development Events, representing our agricultural education program in numerous contests and continuing to build leadership and career skills.
