Rationale:
The District provides Mental Health services for our students. We have a full-time mental health professional contracted through Heartland Counseling Service on our staff, as well as a full-time Guidance Counselor. As informed BOE members, are we interested in having these staff members present an overview of their mental health services to our district? In other words, what services is our district able to provide? How many students/families are being served? What are the results of our current work in addressing mental health needs?

3.b. Spectator Expectations of Elementary School-Age Students

Rationale:
Comments have been received from sporting event fans that elementary-age students are interrupting their view, enjoyment, and ability to focus on the sporting events. We, as a BOE, made the decision to allow all school-age students of BCS free admission to the games to relieve BCS families of the Season Ticket/Entry fee, so that the sporting events may be enjoyed as a family/school supporter. There is concern among those comments that some students are unaccompanied by an adult. What are your observations and feelings on this topic?
