Multicultural Education Plan and Status Update
Rationale:
Our policy, 6370, calls for the periodic review of the multicultural education plan and program. We view, approve, and recognize the status of our statement of purpose and philosophy each year when the student-parent handbook is reviewed and approved by the board.
As we continually monitor district processes and procedures for Rule 10 compliance, it is time for an annual informational update on the multicultural education plan and policy. Unless the board would prefer to further update or revise the plan or policy, a verbal update is sufficient on an annual basis.

ACS Policy Review
Rationale:
The ACS Board is committed to the ongoing review of Policies as part of the Nebraska Association of Schools Board Policy Support Service. The Board intends to review all Board policies on a 2 to 3 year cycle as recommended by NASB.
All Board policies are available to the public via Sparq online publishing which is linked to the district website and available here: Sparq Online Publishing (SOP) Each month, the Board intends to review 12 to 15 policies, depending on the nature and content of the policies. The Board may choose to pause with the routine review in the event there are new policies to adopt due to the action of the Nebraska State Legislature. The policies up for review this month are 14 policies from 1240-1501 under the "Series 1000s Community Relations" section. |
|
Adopt Enrollment Option Standards for 2027-28
Rationale:
Previous legislative action requires school districts to update their enrollment option standards/limits/capacities by October 15th for the next school year. This coincides with the newly updated Board Policy 5006, which was previously 502.02. This update reflects enrollment option limits for the 2027-28 school year. There are no changes from the previous year's standards.
