Rationale:  School Districts are required to hold a Budget Hearing prior to adopting the budget for the current school year.  The hearing is not limited by time, allowing for comments by patrons wishing to give their input related to the proposed budget.

Rationale:  The Tax Request Hearing is to allow for comment regarding the proposed tax request for the 2025-26 budget.  Similar to the budget hearing, time will be allowed for patrons to provide input related to the proposed tax request/levy of the proposed budget.

Rationale:  This allows the Board to approve the agenda as published according to policy 204.07.

Rationale:  School Boards are required to take formal action to adopt the School District Budget.  Once the budget hearing is held, a formal "action item" is entertained with the board having the ability to adopt the budget as published; make changes to the budget, and vote to adopt; or vote to postpone the motion to adopt for further consideration.

All 2025-26 budget information was provided during the Budget Hearing.  Options for the budget and an opportunity for public input were also provided during the August 25, 2025, Board Budget Retreat.

Rationale:  School Boards are required to take formal action to approve the Property Tax Request for each budget cycle. Once the tax request hearing is held and the proposed budget adopted, a formal resolution is voted on by the board to set the final tax request.

All information related to the property tax request was provided during the hearing to set the final tax request for 2025-26. Further, information regarding the 2025-26 tax request was provided during the August 25, 2025, Budget Retreat, allowing the public an opportunity for input and comment.

Rationale:  The district has an assessment plan which is the product of MTSS/CIP Leadership team efforts. The assessment plan is carefully considered in order to satisfy state and federal requirements in addition to accomplishing local district goals with assessment.

It is recommended the Board approve the assessment plan on an annual basis.  The Principals will be in attendance to share and answer any questions.

Rationale:  The Board is committed to the ongoing review and maintenance of Board Policy.  Policies will be provided to the Policy Committee in advance and then to the entire Board for review/approval on a regular basis.

The policies in this month's review are 16 policies (610.01 through 612.05) in the 600s Instruction section. This set of policies is up to date, and no changes are recommended unless the Board prefers to hold any out for discussion and further revision.  A simple review should take care of this month's policies.  The Board has the option to pull any policy for further review and/or revision if needed.

Rationale:  Kyle and Johanna Babcock wish to option their children, Liam (3rd) and Millie (6th), to Rock County for 2025-26. 

Their children have attended Rock County, and they wish to continue that enrollment.

Rationale:  Previous legislation action requires school districts to update their enrollment option standards/limits/capacities by October 15th for the next school year.  This coincides with Board Policy 502.02.  This update reflects enrollment option limits for the 2026-27 school year. There are no changes from the previous year's standards.

Rationale:  The next regular meeting of the Board is scheduled for October 13, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. in the District Office. Current agendas will be available for public inspection in the office of the superintendent.
