Description:  An Executive Session was held before the September 15, 2026 public session to discuss personnel matters.

Description:  The purpose for the Agenda Hearing Period is to permit residents in the audience to make a statement to the JOC on Action Items on the Agenda. (Max 3 minutes). Residents must first sign the Speakers Sign-Up Sheet prior to the meeting and list which agenda item they wish to speak on.

Description:  Approval/acceptance of the following personnel agenda items for ROLL CALL VOTE listed below:

1. Approve the hiring of Pamela Shuman as the Cooperative/Work-Based Learning Coordinator at Step 16, Class 3, at a salary of $78,665.00 to be prorated based on the school calendar.
2. Approve the hiring of Daniel Baker as M1 Maintenance Technician (Electrical and HVAC) at a rate of $21.15 per hour.
3. Approve the hiring of Salene Marshall as part-time cafeteria aide at a rate of $12.40 per hour.
4. Approve the addition of Alexis Gundrum in the additional role of Substitute Coordinator at a yearly stipend of $3,000.
5. Adjust the salary of Assistant Business Manager Joey Alshefski, to include the role of Adult Education Coordinator, to $55,000.00 total.
6. Approve the creation of an additional assistant Wrestling coach position, so that there will be one Head Coach and two assistant coaches (one to work primarily with female wrestlers).
7. Approve Mr. Curtis Funkhouser's resignation effective July 20, 2026, and the Release and Settlement Agreement with Mr. Funkhouser.
8. Approve the resignation of Interim Automotive Collision Repair and Refinishing instructor Don Gunther as of 9/14/26 (attached).

• Subscription to BoardDocs for the remainder of the 2026-2027 school year at a cost of $2,700 (PSBA member rate) to use as our JOC meeting agenda and minutes platform.

Description:  Approval/acceptance of the following consent agenda items for VOICE VOTE listed below:

• Approve sending our freshmen (9th graders) to Luzerne County Community College along with several faculty chaperones. Field trip will occur on Friday, 9/18/26 and all expenses are paid by LCCC.
• Recognition of tenure - Christina Kaszuba.
• Approve Alexis Gundrum as the primary contact and Steve Dolak as the secondary contact and authorized signers for the Perkins Grant.
• Approve Steve Dolak as the trustee for the CSIU Trust.
• Approve internally created Traffic Safety Administrative Guidelines for first review. (attached)
• Approve the following Occupational Advisory Committee (OAC) applications:
  • Brandi Bertollo for Health Professions
  • Michael Armstrong for Automotive Collision Repair and Refinishing

Description:  Senior Lincoln Brewer will provide a preview of his luncheon meeting and school tour for local government representatives, local media, and interested community members, scheduled for October 13, 2026.

Description:  LCCC President John Yudichak and Workforce and Community Development representative Tom Fletcher will present partnership and certification opportunities with CMAVTS.
