2.A. Completed Projects 2025-2026 School Year

2.A.1. Partnership with Americhem

Partnered with Americhem to complete a district wide dispenser replacement at no cost. Americhem will provide paper products to the district for the foreseeable future.

2.A.2. Chemical Overhaul with Janitor Supply

Chemical use was looked at district-wide and narrowed down for multiple reasons including efficiency, cost, safety, and overall operational effectiveness.
This process included removing old products from district storage and recalibrating all chemical dispenser systems.

2.C. Athletic Fields 2025-2026

2.C.1. Agronomics Spring of 2026

Completed broadleaf weed control on the practice football field
Completed crabgrass control district wide
Aerated every field and planted TTTF
Met with Coach Lucko and Athletic Director Matt Young to discuss the new field layout regarding the practice football field. This allows better utilization of our facilities from an agronomics standpoint and a football program standpoint.

3. DISCUSSION TOPICS - NEW BUSINESS

3.A. Large Expenses

3.A.1. Domestic Water Heaters at Standing Stone Elementary School

Both domestic water heaters at Standing Stone Elementary School were replaced in June of 2026 utilizing built in emergency funds out of the 2025-2026 budget.
Both units lasted 13 years, about the expected lifespan of commercial water heaters.

3.A.2. RTUs

Several compressors were replaced in last year's budget. One compressor is already in need of replacement in this year's budget.
Signed a maintenance agreement with McClure to do district wide condenser coil cleanings. This is a job that reduces risk and responsibility on the maintenance team along with lowering energy costs and decreasing wear on units.

3.A.3. Parking Lot Sealcoat

Southside has been sealcoated and line painted. This will improve the looks and longevity of our parking lots.
Next year we will look to do the High School parking lots.

3.B. Athletic Fields 2026-2027

3.B.1. Broadleaf and Sedge Control

This year has been one of the worst years for weeds in a long time. We are looking to do a mid-summer spray to eliminate Sedge and Broadleaf on the football field. Despite this we are happy with the condition of things compared to last summer.

3.C. Capital Improvements

3.C.1. High School Roof (Next Year)

With the state budget passing, we are anxiously waiting for money to be awarded to school districts.
We applied with a 1.3 million dollar project cost with Garland Roofing through GLS. This will complete about one third of the roof.

3.C.2. High School Room Painting (1-4 years)

11 classrooms in the High School are being repaired and painted by Fusion Builders out of Lemont, PA.
Classrooms will be color coated by wing.

3.C.3. High School and Middle School Carpeted Areas (1-4 years)

$9K was budgeted for and will be used to recarpet the High School BILD room over winter or early next summer.

3.C.4. Track Resurfacing (1-2 years)

3.C.5. Tennis Resurfacing (1-2 years)

3.C.6. Hollidaysburg Area School District Garland Roofing visit presentation
