8.1. 2026 COPS School Violence Prevention Program Grant
Description:
The 2026 COPS School Violence Prevention Program grant will support the Middle School's Secure Safe Classroom project. Requested funds will implement the Aperio electronic access control system. The cost is $456,018. Federal grant funds requested, in the amount of $342,014, require a 25% local match. This is a competitive solicitation aimed at improving security in schools, and on school grounds.
