VIII. Celebration of Excellence:
1) Gordon-Rushville applied for and was awarded part of an $880,000 literacy grant to be used for future teacher training in literacy instruction.  Robin Johnson, Keith Mills, Jill Simmons, Megan Janssen, and Troy Dehning all assisted in the grant writing process.
2) Mr. George Meng will be inducted into the Nebraska Music Hall of Fame in October.
3) Mrs. Kruger was named Educator of the Year by the Nebraska Supporters of the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (the organization that oversees the ProStart Program).
