8. REPORTS
Description:
a. BTS Policy Committee (Smith, Dallapiazza, Hall) 6-11-26.
The committee reviewed and discussed the NEOLA 40-2 recommended policy updates. b. BTS Athletic Committee (Edwards, Harry, Dallapiazza) 6-15-26. The committee met to discuss several topics regarding the athletics program, including athletic participation fees and Student Admittance fees. It is the recommendation of the Athletic Committee for the Board to waive the student athletic participation fee for the 2026-2027 school year; continuing to be addressed on a year-by-year basis. (ACTION) It is the recommendation of the Athletic Committee for the Board to approve continuing free admittance to all athletic events for K-12th grade BTS students, with this continuing to be addressed on a year-by-year basis. (ACTION) c. BTS Curriculum/Extra Curricular Committee (Smith, Edwards, To) 6-15-26. The committee met to review proposed new class offerings to be offered at Kingsford Middle School starting with the 2026-2027 school year. It is the recommendation to approve the addition of the following new KMS courses for the 2026-2027 school year (ACTION): Math Concepts ELA Concepts Advanced Manufacturing |

9. NEW BUSINESS
Description:
a. Designation of Election Officer
It is recommended that the Secretary of the Board of Education designate Jessica Arkens as the election officer for all elections between July 1, 2026, and December 31, 2026. (ACTION) |
