Public Content:  Due to the increased risk or potential harm to our current BHS chillers as a result of the incoming inclement weather, we asked KSDE and our district auditor if it would be acceptable to conduct an expedited bid process.  KSDE and the auditor both agreed, and stipulated the following:

• Identify and document the emergency need, including why any delay would increase risk or harm.
• Prepare an emergency purchase order with written justification and reasonable cost.
• Present the matter to the BOE to ratify the emergency expenditure already incurred, or approve the contract prior to work beginning.
• Document compliance through board minutes, justification memoranda, and vendor communications.
• Confirm that sufficient funds are available and properly appropriated.

USD #244 received 1 bid for the BHS Chiller Pipe Insulation project from ACS Building Services, Inc. through an expedited bid process in the amount of $46,830.00.
