Description: SAC Retreat - Ignacio 1/25&1/26

ESS review with Brandi D. Superintendents were asked for some common PD days to do PD with ESS teachers and ESS paras. A focus for next year is to get needed training for ESS staff across the BOCES.
Expansion of the Eschool was discussed and how more BOCES district students can be enrolled in the Eschool instead of going to other online programs. One of the main issues with students not enrolling in the Eschool when they leave our schools is that they do not know about the Eschool and there are other programs that are easier to find and get enrolled in.
A new funding formula for the BOCES school's local assessment was discussed. The Superintendent's group understands the need to increase and adjust the formula to be more sustainable for the BOCES. The formulas used PPR #'s for each district. The discussion was good and opened up other ideas that Royce will work on and bring back to the group.

Description: Leadership Work Day with Dr. Bonita Colman - Thursday, February 5, 2026

The leadership team worked from 8:00 to 2:00 with Dr. Bonita Coleman.
Began action planning from staff survey data.
- Support Staff feeling valued.
Aligning our leadership work with the district priorities
The communication team are working on strategic plan review one-page documents to show alignment with the strategic plan.
Discussions started about aligning the work the leadership team is doing that aligns with the strategic plan priorities. I will bring some ideas to the board to make some adjustments to our strategic plan process.

7.2.1.2. AG Shop/Secondary BEST Grant update (FAC1)

Description: Town Meeting - Thursday, January 22, 2026

Discussed the combination of the three individual water taps from the AG shop, Rock Buildings, and Weight room.
- The town board was open to the discussion and had a couple of possible options to work with the school.
- Tabled the decision to the February 10th meeting when Neenan presents the project to the town board.

Permitting is on schedule
- Geo tech sampling report showed that the soil is good for building and there is not any mitigation that needs to be done before building.
Finalizing inspectors for the project

Executive Team Meeting, Wednesday, January 28. 2026

Working on selecting equipment for the AG shop so storage equipment can be purchased and delivered so Mrs. Lane can move items to the new storage cabinets to be used next year instead of packing and unpacking the same items for next year.

- Short meeting: Finalized equipment placement in the building, electrical outlet placement, and selected class for the classroom area.

Town Meeting Tuesday, February 10, 2026
- Attended the town meeting with Neenan to present the AG shop project to the board. There were not any questions raised from any town board members.

8.1.2. IHAM Health Education

Description: Note: Colorado school districts are required by law to adopt an exemption procedure on this topic that contains certain elements. The procedure should follow this policy and be coded IHAM-R.

This policy was substantially revised in April 2014 to address HB 13-1081, concerning human sexuality. Due to extensive revisions, the policy is presented as all new language. This policy replaces former polices IHAMB, Family Life/Sex Education and IHAMC, HIC/AIDS Education.
