The Executive Board meeting was held on Thursday, December 11, 2025. Those present included: Dr. Dan Sullivan from District #87, Dr. Corina Herrera from District #88, Ms. Roshune Pechacek from District # 92, and Dr. Antonia Hill from District # 93.

Mr. Michael James, Ms. April Cohen, Ms. LaShonda McDaniel, and Mrs. Cecy Mendoza-Jurek from PAEC Administration was also present. 

The Executive Board reviewed and recommended approval of all action items on the agenda and requested the wording for the "Sick Leave Donation Policy" be changed.

Mr. Krish Mohip from District # 209 will be the Executive Board Representative for the Governing Board Meeting on Wednesday, December 17, 2025.

The Finance Committee met on Tuesday, December 9, 2025. The following items were discussed:

• Treasurer’s Report (November 2025) — The committee reviewed and accepted the Treasurer’s Report for November, including an overview of revenues, expenditures, and fund balances.

• Geothermal Budget Worksheet — The committee reviewed the geothermal budget worksheet, with specific discussion regarding the proposed tax consultant fee associated with securing tax credits for the project. The committee expressed interest in identifying a lower-cost tax consultant who can perform the same duties to ensure receipt of the applicable tax credits.

• Geothermal Project Cost Allocation — A rough draft of member district cost allocations for the geothermal project was reviewed. The calculation method mirrors the roof project methodology and is based on 50% Equalized Assessed Valuation (EAV) and 50% enrollment.

• Second Direct Bill — The committee was informed that the second direct bill will be issued in January 2026, along with the supporting documentation for member districts.

• Audit Update — An update on the annual audit was provided. Baker Tilly indicated the audit remains ongoing and is anticipated to be ready for presentation at the February Board meeting.

Description: 
1) A cordial invite to our member districts, come to visit PAEC for our program’s festive celebrations.
2) PAEC had their first reading of the update from Press Plus 120.
3) There was a discussion of a possible cohort at PAEC. This would allow all staff within the membership a location to go back to school to become a teacher.
4) Geothermal — The Executive Board recommends that each member district receive a bill for their portion.
5) Bereavement days — PAEC is requesting to incorporate bereavement days for staff.  This will be voted on in January.
