4)a) Presentation of DIP (District Improvement Plan) and HB3 Goals
Description:
The District Improvement Plan (DIP) establishes Godley ISD's priorities for continuous improvement and aligns the work of every campus and department to improve student outcomes. The 2026-2027 plan focuses on three key areas: academic growth in reading and mathematics, professional learning and staff effectiveness, and student attendance. Additionally, the House Bill 3 (HB3) goals provide measurable targets that will be monitored throughout the year to ensure progress and drive continuous improvement in student achievement for early literacy, early math, and CCMR. |

4)b) Annual School Health Advisory Council's (SHAC) Report for the 2025-2026 School Year
Description:
Annual report summarizing the School Health Advisory Council's activities, recommendations, and efforts to support student health, wellness, safety, and compliance with state requirements during the 2025-2026 school year.

4)c) Review of Godley ISD Student Handbook and Campus Handbooks for the 2026-2027 School Year
Description:
Annual review of the Godley ISD Student Handbook, including updates for the 2026-2027 school year. The handbook is presented to the Board of Trustees for review and information prior to implementation.

Description:
Audience participation at a Board meeting is limited to the public comment portion of the meeting designated for that purpose. Per H.B. 2840 all public comments shall be limited only to items on the board agenda for consideration. At all other times during a Board meeting, the audience shall not enter into discussion or debate on matters being considered by the Board, unless requested by the presiding officer. BED(LOCAL)

Description:

Description:

6)a)4) Consider Purchase of Library Materials for July 2026
Description:
Senate Bill 13 requires that a list of materials proposed for acquisition in a school library must be made available to the public for review for at least 30 days before the school board votes to approve the purchase of materials. Godley ISD has posted the linked list of library books to purchase on our website and sent it to our library book review committee for more than 30 days, and recommends approval of the purchase of these materials. |

6)a)5) Consider Approval of the 2026-2027 Student Code of Conduct
Description:
The Student Code of Conduct establishes the district's expectations for student behavior, outlines disciplinary procedures, and promotes a safe and orderly learning environment. The Board will review the Student Code of Conduct for the 2026-2027 school year. No revisions are recommended, as there were no legislative changes requiring updates during this non-legislative year.

6)a)6) Consider the Approval of the School Health Advisory Council (SHAC) Committee Members for the 2026-2027 School Year
Description:
The School Health Advisory Council (SHAC) is composed of parents and Godley ISD staff who work collaboratively to advise the Board of Trustees on matters related to student health, wellness, safety, and health education in accordance with Texas Education Code §28.004. This agenda item requests the Board's consideration and approval of the recommended SHAC membership for the 2026-2027 school year.

6)a)7) Consider Approval of the Hill College MOU
Description:
Hill College and Godley ISD are partnering to provide dual credit coursework to Godley ISD students. The memorandum of understanding regarding the high school partnership model allows students to complete dual credit courses with multiple entrance and exit points. Hill College and Godley ISD will commit to the terms outlined in the MOU. |

6)a)8) Consider Approval of Good Cause Exceptions for Godley ISD and JCSSA
Description:
Good Cause Exceptions allow a school district to request an exception to specific state school safety requirements when compliance is not feasible due to circumstances beyond the district's control, provided student safety is not compromised. The Board will consider approval of the recommended Good Cause Exception requests for submission in accordance with Texas Education Agency requirements.

6)a)9) Consider MOU with Godley ISD and JJAEP
Description:
This is a Memorandum of Understanding between Johnson County Juvenile Board and Godley ISD. This is pursuant to Chapter 37 of the Texas Education Code. The Juvenile Board has been mandated to develop a JJAEP for mandatory offenses and discretionary placements. The parties agree that the Johnson County JJAEP is a cooperative effort between the educational community and the juvenile justice system with the primary goals being education and rehabilitation. The term of this MOU is through July 31, 2027. |

6)b) Second Review of TASB Policy Numbered Update 127
Description:
TASB periodically issues numbered updates to ensure district policy manuals remain aligned with changing federal and state laws, administrative rules, and recent court decisions. Board review and approval are legally required to formalize and integrate these recommended local policy revisions into the district’s official operating guidelines. This month will be for review only.

Description:
