11. BOARD OF STARS
Description:
Debbie Treece
I would like to nominate Debbie Treece for all her work to ensure that our Aurora Conference trip was logistically smooth and a fantastic learning opportunity for all Chugach teachers. It is incredibly challenging to pull off an event of this magnitude that involves a large number of people traveling long distances. Deb took on this challenge and the entire event went off without a hitch. Thank you so much Debbie for your work on the Aurora Institute. I know that it provided not only quality professional development for our teachers but also a unique opportunity to become closer colleagues. By Doug Penn Craig Parry I would like to nominate Craig Parry for his continued willingness to lend a helping hand and his expertise when unusual maintenance issues occur at Chenega School. This past week the heat went out in the teacher housing during this past extended and early cold snap. With Craig’s help we were able to get the necessary parts out replaced the same day so that our houses and teachers could be warm for the weekend. Craig is more than busy with his regular job of keeping things running in Chenega yet he is always willing to lend a helping hand when it is most needed. Thank you Craig! By Doug Penn Debbie Treece There isn’t much left to say about Debbie Treece that hasn’t been said many times in the past. Year after year Debbie continues to do whatever it takes to keep Chugach School District moving in the right direction. Her love for the district and students is very apparent and we just want to thank her for all that she does! By Ty Mase Tim Bloodgood I'd like to recognize Tim Bloodgood, the Whittier 5-12 Math and Science (and other things) teacher. He has worked, and continues to work, tirelessly to keep students on track with "regular academics", while also taking on the entirety of Close-Up program's communications, managing just about all 5-12 SPED paperwork (alongside Jane Alzner), and so much more. He's been an awesome co-teacher this year, and this bit of recognition is the LEAST we can do in return! By Megan Maloney |
