6.1. Odyssey of the Mind Out of State Travel
Rationale:
A team from Green Hills, and a team from MBMS, has been invited to compete in the 2009 Odyssey of the Mind World Championships being held at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa from May 26th to May 31st, 2009. School days missed: Tuesday, May 26th, Wednesday, May 27th, Thursday, May 28th and Friday, May 29th.

6.2. High School Graduation Date and End of Year Closing Date
Rationale:
Mr. Malavenda will present information regarding the number of school closures due to inclement weather, and recommend a closing date for the 2008-2009 school year.

6.3. Parent Conference Schedules and Marking Period Close Dates for 2009-2010 and 2010-2011
Rationale:
Parent-teacher conferences are scheduled for the fall and spring at the elementary, middle and high school levels.
The school year is divided into three marking periods for the elementary and middle school students and four marking periods for high school students. This creates marking periods of approximately 60 days and 45 days for grades K-8 and 9-12 respectively. The schedule is similar to past years. |

7.1. Transportation Policy Revision #3541 - Second Presentation
Rationale:
To amend the current Policy 3541 (b) to specify safe distances for buses when stopping at intersections where a bus stop has been placed.
“Buses shall stop no closer than 30 feet from their front bumper to the corner curbing of the intersection and shall stop no earlier than 70 feet from the rear bumper to the corner curbing of the intersection.” |
