Board Goal 1 - The percentage of students reading on grade level (meets grade level) at the end of 3rd grade will increase from 26% in June 2022 to 50% by June 2027 as measured by STAAR.

Constraint 1 - The superintendent shall not allow campus administration or staff to eliminate, or neglect the implementation fo a positive behavior intervention system on each campus.

CPM 1.1 - The percentage of teacher leaders and administrators trained in Capturing Kids Hearts will increase from 0% in August 2022 to 100% in August 2023.

CPM 1.2 - The percentage of teachers and administrators district wide implementing Capturing Kids Hearts with fidelity as measure by the RCISD rubric will increase from 0% in August 2023 to 100% in August 2025.

Constraint 5 - The superintendent shall not allow administration or staff to eliminate the expecation that all students will be placed on a degree plan leading to an industry based certification in addition to AA/AAS/AAT/AS by high school graduation and a baccalaureate degree within 2 years under the P-TECH model.

CPM 5.1 - Administration will ensure that within 30 days of enrollment, the percentage of high school students having a degree plan as measured by their pathway, IBC, associates degree, and post-secondary plans will not decrease below 100%.

Consider action to approve the RCISD 2024-25 Academic Calendar
Description:
RCISD had 48 employee responses submitted for the 2024-25 academic calendar. Approximately 85% of the responses were for Calendar A. Calendar A has 180 school days built into it, thus RCISD will be able to gain ADA for summer school. Summer School will start in the summer 2025, summer school will be for 30 days, Monday - Friday, for 4 hours per day. Teachers will be able to volunteer to teach summer school at a rate of $50 dollars a day.
As communicated to the staff, with the 180 school day calendar, RCISD will work on a teacher pay increase at minimum. RCISD will work with TASB to create those models for Board consideration. |
