Chanute High School was awarded the Kansas Green School of the Year Award in Conservation and Environmental Education from Kansas Association for Conservation & Environmental Education under the leadership of Brian Gahagan. Mr. Gahgan is the instructor leading the recycling efforts at Chanute High School
