Description:
INFO: **School districts and charter schools are required to certify annually to the State Board of Education and the commissioner that, for each subject in the required curriculum other than physical education, students have access to instructional materials that cover all the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS). It is important to note that districts and charters will be unable to order instructional materials through EMAT until the certification has been received by the Texas Education Agency (TEA).

INFO: **The State Board of Education issued Proclamation 2024 to call for instructional materials related to K-12 Science, High School Personal Financial Literacy & Economics, and multiple CTE courses. The SBOE-adopted and/or district-adopted materials to support the TEKS of the included courses are then scheduled for implementation in the 2024-2025 school year. The SISD instructional materials adoption process followed procedures outlined in Administrative Regulation EFA. Textbooks serve as resources that are funded by the Instructional Material Allotment provided by the state. |
