This public hearing is to be completed prior to the District committing any funds and prior to submitting the 2023-2024 ESSA Consolidated Federal Grant Application to the Texas Education Agency. The deadline to submit the application to TEA is June 30, 2023.

The Schaeffer House is a residential facility for delinquent youth located within SISD and operated by TJJD, an agency of the State of Texas, that provides 24-hour care, control, and custody for individuals between the ages of 10 and 19 years. The Texas Education code requires SISD to provide admission to its schools for students that are over five years of age and younger than 21 years of age and who reside in a residential facility located in SISD.

The reduced price remains at $.40 for lunch.
