5. Public Comment The board encourages comments from students, parents, citizens of the district and district employees. Anyone wishing to speak is encouraged to review district policy BED (LOCAL) regarding public participation at Board meetings. Individuals who wish to participate during this portion of the meeting shall sign up with the presiding officer or designee before the meeting begins and shall indicate the agenda item or topic on which they wish to address the Board. Time will be limited to one to five minutes at the discretion of the presiding officer.
