5. Consideration and action to authorize the use of eminent to domain to condemn and
acquire all right, title and interest to the real property and improvements known as the former RC Andrews Elementary School campus, which is bounded by W. Virginia Street, N. Massie Street, W. Lee Street and N. White Street, with an address of 215 N. White, Floydada, Texas, and legally described as: Six and one fifth (6 1/5) acres of the South Three Fourths of Section No. 64, Block One (1), Certificate No. 1230 A.B.&M in the West Side Heights Addition of the Town of Floyd City (Floydada); all of Block J, Andrews Addition to the Town of Floydada, Floyd County, Texas; and, all of Block 14 of the Western Addition Annex to the City of Floydada (Floyd City), collectively formerly known as R.C. Andrews Elementary School, for a total of approximately 10.05 acres, which is more particularly described as: All that certain tract or parcel of land situated in Floyd County, Texas, containing Two Hundred Seventy Thousand and Fifty (270,050) Square Feet, being approximately Six and One fifth (6 and 1/5) acres, being a part of Four Hundred and Eighty (480) acres, known as the South Three/Fourths (S 3/4) of Section 64, Block One (1), Certificate No. 1230, A.B.&M, said 480 acres patented to W.M. Massie by patent No. 642, Volume 37, as shown of record in Patent Record No. 2, page 148, Deed Records of Floyd County, Texas, said tract of land hereby conveyed being more fully described by metes and bounds as follows: Beginning at a point in the West line or side of White Street, Seventy Five (75) Feet West of the South West corner of Lot No. 9, in Block No. 2, West Side Heights Addition, to the town of Floyd City (Floydada) Floyd County, Texas; Thence North, with said West line of White Street Five Hundred and Fifty (550) feet to a point Seventy Five (75) feet West of the North West corner of Lot No. Nine (9) in Block No. One (1) said West Side Heights Addition and Twenty Five (25) feet South of the South East corner of Lot No. Twenty Four (24) in Block J, Andrews Addition to the town of Floyd City (Floydada), Floyd County, Texas; thence West Four Hundred and Ninety One (491) feet; thence South Five Hundred and Fifty (550) feet; Thence East Four Hundred and Ninety One (491) feet to the Place of beginning. All of Lots Numbers Two (2) and Four (4) and Lot “B”, all in Block “J,” in the Andrews Addition to the Town of Floydada (Floyd City), in Floyd County, Texas, as shown by Plat of such Addition of record in Volume 22, Page 350, Deed Records of Floyd County, Texas as conveyed to Floydada ISD by Warranty Deed from Ruby D.
