Deliberation and possible action authorizing the Board President to execute a resolution in accordance with HB 3 and Board Policy CKED(LOCAL) and authorize certification of additional training requirements for certain Hale Center ISD employees who are licensed by the State of Texas to carry concealed handguns, to carry such weapon on school premises and all school-sponsored and school-related activities.

7.E. Deliberation and possible action regarding bid quotes for constructing the Safety & Security Fence at the Hale Center High School Ag Shop.

7.F. Deliberation and possible action to correct the August 26, 2024, special board meeting minutes regarding the "Resolution Levying a Tax Rate" for the 2024-2025 district budget (see "Action Exhibit"). 

7.G. Deliberation and possible action regarding the Texas Association of School Boards ("TASB") localized policy manual "Update 123."

7.H. Deliberation and possible action to adopt amended 2024-2025 Extracurricular Code of Conduct.

7.I. Deliberation and Possible Action regarding the 2024-2025 "Wellness Policy" approved by the School Health Advisory Council ("SHAC") on October 7, 2024.

8.A. Presentation of the 2024-2025 Safety & Security Committee in accordance with Texas Education Code ("TEC") Chapter 37 Discipline; Law & Order, section 37.109(a)(a-1).

8.B. ConnectED Texas Program Overview regarding TASB & Diamond Communications to bring best-in-class wireless services and connectivity solutions to rural school districts in Texas.

8.C. In March 2025, Hale Center ISD has an opportunity to participate in the West Texas Leadership Academy that will be hosted by Lubbock Christian University's graduate education program.  The leadership academy is geared for potential leaders (teachers and administrators) in smaller school districts located in the Lubbock area. 

8.D. Information Exhibit regarding retirements, resignations, non-contractual new hires, and change-in-assigment(s).

8.E. Partnering with ESC 17 regarding the "Teacher Incentive Allotment" process for Hale Center ISD.

8.F. The Acting Superintendent is informing the Board that the 2024-2025 Multi-Hazard Emergency Operations ("EOP") Basic Plan ("EOP") and the 2024-2025 Cybersecurity Annex were Revised on September 6, 2024, and submitted to the Texas School safety center on September 23, 2024.
