Description:
The awards for the citizens of the month were given out by Albert Pena and Juan Gutierrez. Each student received a Citizen of the Month plaque. The students that were present also received meal certificates from Stars or McDonalds plus a free movie rental from Video Depot for their accomplishment.

Description:
Mr. Lara announced that Esmeralda Rodriguez was the employee of the month. Mrs. Rodriguez was there to receive the plaque that was given to her by Mr. Lara.

6. Legislative Update - Texas Tax Reform Commission
Description:
Mr. Lara gave the board members information on the Legislative Update - Texas Tax Reform Commission. They were also given a copy of Moak, Casey & Assoc. LLP proposal.

Description:
The board members were also given information on the Cost Analysis for the public schools. An article of the public schools was also attached.

8. Consideration and Approval of the Certification of Unopposed Candidates
Description:
Frances Rodriguez-Braswell made a motion to approve the Certification of Unopposed Candidates. Maggie Sepulveda seconded the motion. Motion carried.

9. Consideration and Approval of the Order of Cancellation
Description:
Frances Rodriguez-Braswell made a motion to approve the order of cancellation of May 13, 2006 election of the board of trustees. Maggie Sepulveda seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Description:
