Description:
Norma Llanes made a motion to approve the minutes from August 11, 2004. Maggie Sepulveda seconded the motion. Motion carried.

5.A. Students
Description:
Mr. Doyle Todd, Principal of Schools, announced the student citizens of the month for August 2004. Each student received a plaque while there were announced.

Description:
Mr. Tony Lara announced that Ms. Creegan was the employee of the month. Mr. Lara also presented all the teachers to the board members. He also handed each teacher a school polo shirt for the new year.

6. Budget Hearing And Tax Rate for Fiscal Year 2005
Description:
Mr. Lara presented a copy of the information posted on the newspaper for the Budget Hearing and Tax Rate.

7. Public Hearing to Discuss the Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas
Description:
Mr. Lara presented the board with a copy of the criteria used to establish the Financial Integrity Rateing System of Texas. The San Perlita I.S.D. was awarded with a rating of "Superior Achievement". This notice was also published in our local newspaper.

8. Consideration and Approval of Organizational Chart for 2004-2005
Description:
Felipe Quiroga made a motion to approve the Organizational Chart for 2004-2005 which relects the changes in principal duties and counselor duties.

10. Consideration and Approval of Update 73-Local
Description:
Felipe Quiroga made a motion to approve Update 73-Local. David Rodriguez seconded the motion. Motion carried.

11. Dropout and Completion Data 2002-2003
Description:
Mr. Lara presented the Board of Trustees a copy of the annual dropout data for 2002-2003 for grades 7-12 with a rate of 0% and the completion rate for grades 9-12.

12. Consideration and Approval of Interlocal Agreement-JJAEP Cameron County
Description:
A motion for the approval of Interlocal Agreement with the Cameron County Juvenile Justice alternative Education Program was made by Maggie Sepulveda. Norma Llanes seconded the motion. Motion carried.

13. TASB Delegate Assembly 2004
Description:
The board members were given a copy of the Delegate Designation form which will be sent in to the Texas Association of School Boards after the selection has been made and signed.

14. Bid Awards for Services and Supplies 2004-2005
Description:
Mr. Lara went over the bids received for the supplies and services for school year 2004-2005. No bids for the plumbing and no bids for the office supplies were received. Maggie Sepulveda made a motion to award Circle R Electric with the HVAC & Electrical Services. Felipe Quiroga seconded the motion. Motion carried.
