2.A. Consider and take possible action to approve offering the following innovative courses, beginning in the 2024-2025 school year, which are part of the Career Cluster: Health Sciences and the Program of Study: Exercise Science, Wellness & Restoration:

• Principles of Exercise Science & Wellness
• Kinesiology 1
• Kinesiology 2

2.B. Consider and take possible action to approve offering a locally-developed course “7th Grade 101” beginning in the 2024-2025 school year.

2.C. Consider and take possible action to approve the purchase of a maintenance truck in an amount not to exceed $30,000.

3. Adjourn to Closed Session pursuant to: 

• If during the course of the meeting covered by this Notice, the Board of Trustees should determine that a closed session of the Board of Trustees is required, then such a closed session as authorized by the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code Section 551.001 will be held by the School Board at the date, hour, and place given in this Notice or as soon after the commencement of the meeting covered by this Notice as the School Board may conveniently meet in such closed or executive meeting or session concerning any and all purposes permitted by the Act.

• Texas Government Code Section 551.074 Personnel, to deliberate regarding the appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of a public officer or employee; or to hear a complaint or charge against an officer or employee. 
• To discuss and collect information related to the Superintendent’s evaluation. 
• Texas Government Code, Section 551.071 and 551.129 For the purpose to consult with legal counsel regarding pending litigation in  the case styled Holley v. Italy Independent School District, Civil Action No. 3:23-CV-01239-D in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas, Dallas Division.
