Welcome to this meeting of the Oregon Commission on Autism Spectrum Disorder. This is an open meeting with time set aside on the agenda for public participation. If you would like to address the Commission during public participation, please fill out a card by the door and hand it to the administrative assistant, Mary Richards.

The agenda needs to be approved by members.  The Chairman, Nancy Lawson will note anything that needs to be added, moved, or deleted from the agenda as presented.

The "revised" minutes from the March 21, 2019-OCASD Retreat and the minutes from the May 16,2019 regular meeting are included in the meeting packet for review and approval.

Description:  10:20-10:25
A limited amount of time has been set aside for the public to address members of the Commission.  When making a comment or voicing a concern, it is especially helpful to provide possible solutions.  If anyone has filled out a card and would like to address the Commission, please step forward and state your name and address for the record.

Joyce Bernheim and Nancy Lawson will give the Commission a report on the activities surrounding the differential diagnosis grant approved in May.

The attached calendar shows revisions based on changes due to conflicts discussed in May.  One additional change has been made to meeting date in January 2020.  Please note the revisions, including location changes in red font, highlighted in yellow.  May will send updates to your calendars via email.

Nancy Lawson will talk about  open positions and their current status.  An updated copy of the OCASD membership list is included in the packet

Both Corey Stump (moved from position #1 to position #8) and Brad Hendershott have been re-appointed for another two-year term. 

Michele Raddish has decided not to renew and Heather Olivier has resigned.  Nancy Lawson will discuss her status at the meeting.

Nancy will discuss the upcoming biennium budget for 2019-2021. A copy of the 2017-2019 budget is attached for comparison.

Each workgroup will give a verbal update of their activities since the last OCASD meeting in May.  Since Dr. Michele Raddish has notified the Commission that she will not be able to attend the meeting, Health care will be reported at a later date.

Description:  Nancy Lawson and Anne Saraceno will report on the activities of the Supports Workgroup.

Description:  Brad Hendershott will report on the activities of the Education Workgroup.

Description:  Joyce Bernheim will report on the activities of the Identification Workgroup.

Description:  Corey Stump will report on the activities of the Systems Collaboration Workgroup.

A copy of Phase I of the Strategic Plan is included in the meeting packet for reference.  Phase II needs to be outlined and ready for the Governor Report due by the end of October 2019.  As liaisons for workgroups, please come prepared to discuss future goals, activities, and time lines for completion.
