4. Opportunity for Audience
Description:
Any citizen who would like to address the Board will be able to do so as the item on the regular agenda. Comments will be limited to 2 minutes per subject. If further time is needed, concerns should be addressed to the Superintendent. Personnel matters will not be discussed in a public meeting. Items that appear under the heading Routine and Regular Business will not be discussed or comments taken unless it is requested that they be removed from that category and placed on the regular agenda. Action on Routine and Regular Business will be acted upon with one motion and one vote. |

Discussion:
SRO's Recognition - Huge day of celebration for us to bring more SRO's into our schools. Thanks to the Mayor and the Chief to make it possible for them to start this school year. 5 SRO's - PRl/AV/Cottonwood, AV/CHS and Too Good Program, Andrew/Isaac - training officers. Chief Skinner
Attendance Awards - MOst improved attendance Elementary - Sunset - most improved and best attendance for Elementary Secondary - PR Levya most improved for the month and best attendance Superintendent's Report - Armed Security Guard Update; On-call employees, taxable fringe benefits (under board policy) Staff will be given the opportunity. I-Station reps - comparative data and want to compare Carlsbad, HObbs, Artesia and Roswell and Jal AND - Permian Basin School in Texas. Moving to Measures of Academic Progress (MAPS) K-12 to give us data that follows students from elementary to Middle school tosh igh school I Station will be evaluated. HB-33 and SB-9 update - May board meeting include stadium lighting and scoreboards for Football, Baseball, Softball and Main Gym. Soft surface for playground equipment areas to replace wood chips. Design meetings Architectural RFP for construction services will be issued. Construction Initial work on a rezoning all elementary schools School. |
