Description:
Any citizen who would like to address the Board will be able to do so as the item on the regular agenda. Comments will be limited to 2 minutes per subject. If further time is needed, concerns should be addressed to the Superintendent. Personnel matters will not be discussed in a public meeting. Items that appear under the heading Routine and Regular Business will not be discussed or comments taken unless it is requested that they be removed from that category and placed on the regular agenda. Action on Routine and Regular Business will be acted upon with one motion and one vote. |

4.A. 2022-2023 District Operating Budget (ACTION)

Discussion:
2022-23 District Operating Budget - final reports - summary and review report conducted by the PED. All items included were discussed with the Board at Work Session on June. 5.16 million dollar increase. Membership remains stable. Projected conservatively. Teacher salary - increase 7% include Tenure - 3% mandatory for 4th quarter. base for new year, then in addition 4% was added. was taken into account - not in the average when moving from level to level - 7% legislative mandate - average is actually higher. Percentage wise - highest teacher salary in the State. We have seen in increase in teacher applications Better position than we were last year. We are competitive. Anticipating some growth even with the new private school opening. 40 day count will be reviewed.
7% increase on all job classification and are subject to negotiations - Special Board Meeting schedules. identified some errors and now will go through 3 departments to review before submitting for Board approval. |
