I. Meeting Details
Description:
This School Board Meeting will be held in-person and virtually in the School Board Room and online. In order to view the meeting, please use the provided URL Zoom link. https://us02web.zoom.us/j/83833692563
If you join virtually, please note that you will be joining a meeting as an attendee, meaning that you will be able to see and hear the participants of the Board meeting but they will not be able to see or hear you. Meeting handouts will be added to the Board agenda the evening of the meeting. IV. Recognition of Accomplishment
Description:
Board members may recognize students, staff or community members for outstanding contributions to the district or educational community.

V. Resident Participation
Description:
Resident participation is for those who wish to speak to the Board. Please review the Resident Participation guideline document at the meeting for more information. Those who wish to receive follow up after the meeting should sign in at the table near the door. Time will be limited to two minutes per speaker. Resident participation will be stopped after one hour.

VI. Consent Agenda - Ms. Brooks
Description:
Consent agenda items are routine items that the Board approves without discussion. Board members may remove items from the consent agenda for further discussion, or to vote differently on that particular item.

VI.A. Agenda
Description:
The Board will approve or revise the agenda for the meeting.
|
|
VI.B. Bills for Payment
Description:
Bills for payment include all invoices that are currently due by the district.
|
|
VI.C. Minutes
Description:
The Board will be asked to approve the minutes as listed. Minutes are typically posted on the website once a month.

VI.D. Staffing - New Hires, Resignations, Retirements, Revised FTE
Description:
Board members routinely approve various staffing items on the consent agenda. Staffing decisions that have a large scale impact and need more discussion are listed on a different part of the agenda, as appropriate.

VI.E. High School Spanish Trip Spring Break 2024
Description:
The Board will be asked to approve a trip to Costa Rica for Spring Break 2024. Specific dates will be determined once the 2023-24 calendar is finalized.

VII.A.1. Equity Non-Negotiables Review and Update
Description:
The Board will receive the equity non-negotiables that were reviewed by the staff over the last year.

Description:
The Board will receive information related to the different assessments that are used throughout the district and how the assessments are used.

Description:
The Board will be asked to approve a revised policy to include all federally protected classes due to some being inadvertently not listed in the policy.

Description:
The Board requested an updated resident participation guidelines document. Additionally, the Board will discuss recording and posting Board meetings.

Description:
The Board will be asked to approve hosting the WPEN summer summit on August 10, 2023.

VII.C.4. WASB Resolutions Review
Description:
The Board will review the proposed resolutions that WASB members will vote on at the annual convention.

Description:
The Board will receive information related to the athletic fields bids that are due to be received by January 6, 2023, and related funding sources. The Board may approve the bids at this meeting or the next meeting in January.

Description:
The Board will start the discussion related to 23-24 budget, specifically related to the general concepts and timeline for the budgeting process.

Description:
Ms. Williams will provide the Board with informational items related to recent or upcoming topics or events.

Description:
Board members may make announcements related to recent or upcoming topics or events.

XI. Closed Session - The Board will move into closed session pursuant to Wisconsin Statutes Section 19.85(1)(e) to deliberate or negotiate the purchasing of public properties, the investing of public funds, or conducting other specified public business, whenever competitive or bargaining reasons require a closed session to discuss teacher negotiations and pursuant to Wisconsin Statutes Section 19.85(1)(c) to consider employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility to discuss superintendent goals.
