Description:
Board members may recognize students, staff or community members for outstanding contributions to the district or educational community.

IV. Resident Participation
Description:
Resident participation is for those who wish to speak to the Board. Please review the Resident Participation guideline document at the meeting for more information. Those who wish to receive follow up after the meeting should sign in at the table near the door. Time will be limited to two minutes per speaker. Resident participation will be stopped after one hour.

V. Consent Agenda - Ms. Williams
Description:
Consent agenda items are routine items that the Board approves without discussion. Board members may remove items from the consent agenda for further discussion, or to vote differently on that particular item.

V.A. Agenda
Description:
The Board will approve or revise the agenda for the meeting.
|
|
V.B. Bills for Payment
Description:
Bills for payment include all invoices that are currently due by the district.
|
|
V.C. Minutes
Description:
The Board will be asked to approve the minutes as listed. Minutes are typically posted on the website once a month.
|

V.D. Staffing - New Hires, Resignations, Retirements, Revised FTE
Description:
Board members routinely approve various staffing items on the consent agenda. Staffing decisions that have a large scale impact and need more discussion are listed on a different part of the agenda, as appropriate.

V.E. 2021-22 Salary Increases for Administrative, Building Service Helpers, Custodians, and Exempt Employees
Description:
This group of employees is recommended to receive the same overall increase as the Board previously approved for the teaching staff.

V.F. August Meeting Dates Changed to August 10 and 24
Description:
It is recommended to move the August meetings to August 10 and 24.

VI. Information/Discussion/Possible Action

VI.A. Curriculum Expectations - Ms. Brooks
|
|
VI.A.1. Continuous Improvement Systems Around Standards and Instruction Update
Description:
Dr. Weiss, Mr. Eckman and Ms. Gajewski will discuss how the district is moving forward with continuous improvement around standards, instruction and resources, including the intersection through various systems in the district.

VI.A.2. High School Government and Middle School Science Textbook Adoptions Update
Description:
The Board will receive an update regarding the planned textbooks based on the recommendation of the teacher and administrative review team.

VI.A.3. Acelero Partnership Approval
Description:
The Board will be asked to approve the partnership with Acelero to provide Head Start services to 3k students.

VI.B. Character Education - Ms. DeFord
|
|
VI.B.1. Annual Wisconsin State Character Education Conference Update
Description:
The district partners with Alverno College to present the annual character education conference for Wisconsin that was held in June.

VI.C. Community Engagement - Mr. Hintz
|
|
VI.C.1. Heritage Days Parade Participation
Description:
The Board will be asked who will participate in the Heritage Days Parade.

VI.C.2. WASB Update
Description:
The Board will be updated on the status of the Wisconsin Association of School Boards and the association with the National Association of School Boards.

VI.D. Capital Effectiveness - Mr. Vega
|
|
VI.D.1. New Workers Compensation Insurance Carrier and Property Insurance Carrier Approval
Description:
The Board will be asked to approve new insurance carriers in order to save on premium amounts.

VI.D.2. 2021-22 Budget Adjustments Approval
Description:
The Board will be asked to approve the final budget adjustments for 2021-22.
|
|
VI.D.3. Sullivan Fieldhouse Update
Description:
The Board will receive an update regarding the water damage in the Sullivan Fieldhouse.

VII. Superintendent’s Report
Description:
Dr. Weiss will provide the Board with informational items related to recent or upcoming topics or events.

VIII. President’s Report
Description:
Mrs. Williams will provide the Board with informational items related to recent or upcoming topics or events.

IX. Announcements
Description:
Board members may make announcements related to recent or upcoming topics or events.

X. Closed Session - The Board will move into closed session pursuant to Wisconsin Statutes Section 19.85(1)(c) to consider employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility to discuss specific staffing items.
