1. NOTIFICATION OF MEETING
Welcome to a public meeting of the Alexandria Township Public Schools under the Open Public Meetings Act of 1975, also known as the “Sunshine Law.” The District hopes that you will find this meeting informative and instructive, and that citizens are afforded an opportunity to better understand and appreciate the District’s operation and functions.

Under the Sunshine Law, the District must provide notice of all open meetings to allow citizens to attend and observe the deliberations of the District.  This meeting was properly advertised according to the Open Public Meeting Act (P.L. 1975:31) on the Alexandria Township School website on September 3, 2026, to begin at 7:00 PM at Delaware Valley Regional High School Cafeteria, 19 Senator Stout Road, Frenchtown, NJ.

4.A. Finance and Facilities

4.A.1) Authorizing the Implementation of the Emergency Virtual/Remote Instruction Plan
Motion to authorize the temporary closure of the physical school facility and the immediate implementation of the district’s approved Emergency Virtual/Remote Instruction Plan due to unanticipated facilities remediation, pending county office approval pursuant to N.J.A.C. 6A:32-13.

4.A.3) Awarding of Emergency Contracts
Motion to approve the School Business Administrator/Board Secretary to award emergency contracts for the purposes of remediation and restoration of filth due to the presence of uncontrolled moisture, following the District's Emergency Purchasing Procedures Manual pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-7.

WHEREAS, Alexandria Township at the advice of RK Occupational & Environmental Analysis Inc. conducted a moisture assessment and evaluation, which resulted in the finding of atypical fungal populations in the building.

WHEREAS, the Alexandria Township School building is to be closed for emergency remediation out of an abundance of caution to ensure a safe and healthy environment for the occupants.

BE IT RESOLVED, the Alexandria Township Board of Education approves the Business Administrator / Board Secretary to award emergency contracts, following the District's Emergency Purchasing Procedures pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-7 and N.J.A.C. 5:34-6.1.

4.A.4) Approval of Emergency Remediation Services Contract
Motion to authorize Gold Star Restoration to conduct emergency remediation services not to exceed $189,660.00 without prior approval by the board of education.

4.A.5) Approval of Environmental Testing Services
Motion to approve RK Occupational and Environmental Analysis Inc. to conduct environmental testing services not to exceed $25,000.00 without prior approval by the board of education.

4.A.6) Remote Action Plan Update
RESOLVED upon the recommendation of the Interim Superintendent, the Alexandria Township Board of Education approves the ATSD 2026-2027 Plan for Safe Return.

4.B. Personnel

4.B.1) Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant
Motion to approve Julie Beauregard as a part-time (0.5 FTE) Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant, effective October 1, 2026, at MA+30, Step 8, with a salary of $40,720, prorated, pending completion of all required documentation.
