Strategic Priority 1:  The School Board and Administration creates a positive, safe learning environment for all students and staff.

Dr. Shirley will present a plaque to Sandi Sweeney for her "Years of Service" at Lake Ridge New Tech Schools.

Ms. Sara Kuntarich will discuss the Winter Sports Spectator Fan Plan.

Mr. Jim Wadkins will discuss the Return to Wrestling Safety Plan.

VII. Professional Development

VII.A. Recommend Regin Johnson attend the Virtual High Ability Teacher Boot 
        Camp on November 16, 2020 with expenses paid from the High Ability Grant.
 

VII.B. Recommend Jodi Garcia attend the Early Intervention Strategies for 
        Students Struggling with Reading Accuracy and Fluency Grades K-2 Online Course with expenses paid from Title IIA.
 

VII.C. Recommend Kathy Martin, Lisa Driscoll, Jenae McKnight, Rose Phelan, 
        and Earl Smith attend the Visible Learning in the ELA Classroom Virtual Workshop 
        on October 27, 2020 with expenses paid from Title IIA.

 

VII.D. Recommend Angelina Maine attend the "Teach Your Heart Out", Virtual 
        Conference on November 6-7, 2020 with expenses paid from Title IIA.

 

VII.E. Recommend Dr. Sharon Johnson-Shirley attend the virtual NABSE 48th 
        Annual Conference on December 3-5, 2020.
 

VII.F. Recommend approving the Professional Development items.

VIII.A. Recommend accepting Rafael Swift’s resignation from the Title I 
        Paraprofessional position at Longfellow New Tech Elementary School effective 
        October 21, 2020.
 

VIII.B. Recommend accepting Madeline Mercado’s resignation from the Title I 
        Paraprofessional position at Longfellow New Tech Elementary School effective 
        October 21, 2020.

 

VIII.C. Recommend approval of the Leaves/Resignations/Employment items.

IX.A. Recommend approving the bid from ENA to purchase the VoIP telephone 
        system paid from the Operations Fund.

 

IX.B. Recommend Melissa Reno work for an additional 25 days beyond the 212 
        days a year she is contracted for paid from the Head Start Grant.
 

IX.C. Recommend approving the self-insurance health rates for the calendar year 2021.

IX.D. Recommend accepting the following donations for Calumet New Tech High School:
        $300 - from Illinois Prairie Community Foundations, Inc. for the Boys Basketball 
        Account
        $50 - from Dori Downing for the Boys Basketball Account
        $50 - From Dori Downing for the Girls Basketball Account
 

IX.E. Recommend approving the following fundraisers for Calumet New Tech High School:
        November 14, 2020 - 5:00 PM-9:00 PM Chipotle in Highland - percentage of sale to 
        the Swim Account
        December 17-26, 2020 - shop at Five Below - percentage of sales to the Swim
