9.I. Candidate for Early Graduation
Description:
Board policy EIF (LEGAL) states that a student who completes all requirements for high school graduation prior to the end of the school year of his/her graduation cohort may be eligible to apply for Early Graduation. A student is considered a graduate upon the teacher's submission of final grades and confirmation of completion of community service. Hadley Groth, a student, has applied for mid-year graduation and is scheduled to complete all graduation requirements.
A final step is for the Board of Trustees to approve this student's request for early graduation. |

9.J. Preschool Tuition Rate for 2026-2027
Description:
Tuition-based pre-school rates continue to increase for public and private pre-school entities. Currently, HPISD charges $1000/month for 10 months/year for a total of $10,000. The annual $10,000 per tuition-based student does not provide enough revenue to cover all program costs.
Administration proposes to increase the annual tuition for tuition-based pre-school students to $11,000. Parents/guardians will be provided opportunities to pay monthly, semi-annually, or annually. The new rate is set to provide revenue commensurate with the costs of administering the program. |
|
9.K. Approve Annual Comprehensive Financial Report
Description:
Texas public school districts are required to have financial audits conducted annually. The final audit each year is required to be approved by the Board of Trustees, and then the audit is to be submitted to the Texas Education Agency.
The 2024-2025 Annual Comprehensive Financial Report is attached. The Finance Committee has reviewed the 2024-2025 ACFR and recommended the audit to the Board for approval.
