Description:
Senate Bill 218 of the 77th Legislature (2001) authorized the implementation of a financial accountability rating system, which is officially referred to as School FIRST. The school district's School FIRST rating is based upon an analysis of staff and student data reported for the 2023-2024 school year, and budgetary and actual financial data for the fiscal year ending June 30,2024.
Administration has published notice of this public hearing in accordance with Title 19, TAC, Section 109.1005. Highland Park ISD has received "Superior Achievement" rating with a score of 92/100 points, demonstrating the quality of the District's financial management and reporting system.

11.I. Approve the City of University Park easement request at the Douglas & Lovers Ln intersection and delegate authority to the Superintendent or his designee to sign the agreement

Description:
As part of the plans for the Miracle Mile/Lovers Lane project, the City of University Park is making improvements to the Douglas and Lovers Lane intersection. The improvments will include a new traffic signal. The City is requesting a small easement just inside the sidewalk by the right field corner of Scotland Yard. The easement area will be used for the traffic signal control cabinet. UP will be responsible for maintenance for the pavement, sidewalk, and traffic control cabinet. Administration is not antipicating any negative impact to HPISD.
Administration has proposed the easement request to the Finance Committee, and the committee approved the recommendation of easement approval to the Board. |
11.J. Approve the Construction Manager-At-Risk delivery method as providing the best value for projects under the 2024 Bond Program and delegate authority to the Superintendent or his designee to issue procurement documents
