A. Public Comments for 2026 - 2027 ESSA grant funds

Description: ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act) grant funds are federal K-12 education funds distributed to states and local school districts.

Title I, Part A: Provides supplemental resources to schools with high numbers or percentages of children from low-income families to ensure they meet state academic standards.
Title II, Part A: Focuses on preparing, training, and recruiting high-quality teachers and principals, often used for ongoing professional development.
Title III, Part A: Dedicated to helping English learners and immigrant students attain English proficiency and meet academic achievement standards.
Title IV, Part A (Student Support and Academic Enrichment): A flexible block grant focusing on three main areas: providing a well-rounded education, improving safe and healthy school environments, and expanding the use of education technology.

5. Canvass the results from the June 13th, 2026 Follett ISD Board of Trustee Runoff Election, and adoption of an Order declaring the results of the election.
