A. Attendance for the first six weeks was 96.56%. According to the Commissioner, school districts missed out on $380,000,000 due to poor attendance last school year. We lost $8,060 for the first six weeks roughly. All districts budget based upon actual student counts and not average daily attendance. Our legislature needs to change funding to being based upon student counts and not average daily attendance. Truancy became a civil matter and not criminal in 2015, thus there are no real penalties for compulsory attendance laws. B. State Assessment Goals at the Meets Level Percentages Worksheet C. Current Student Counts: Our student count was 292.5 on October 1, 2024. On October 1, 2023, our student count was 297. |

Regular Agenda

A. Discuss and take action on employment and/or resignations of school personnel.
B. Discuss and take action on Winter Incentive Stipend to be dispersed as a separate check on December 18, 2024. We had a 5.3 million dollar fund balance for the 22/23 school year. We approved budget amendments totaling 1.5 million dollars for the 23/24 school year pending the audit. Thus, we have 3.8 million in fund balance to start the 24-25 school year. I am recommending a $1,000 winter incentive stipend for each employee within the district; therefore, that total amount would be $68,000. C. Discuss and take action to include paid holidays for the director of maintenance and the assistant director of maintenance in their stipends rather than in their 92 hours each month. D. Discuss and take action to approve the Emergency Operations Plan for 2024-2025. |
