A.  Tax Rate Meeting/23-24 Budget Amendments/24-25 Budget Special Meeting--Thursday, August 29, at 7:00 p.m.
B.  Student Anticipated Counts--292--Remember, we are funded based upon attendance and not student counts.  Interestingly, there was legislation last session to change to student counts, but this legislation died in committee.

Regular Agenda

A. Discuss and take action on employment and/or resignations of school personnel.
B.  Discuss and take action to amend the approved calendar by changing spring break to March 17 through 21 and to change the school holiday from January 10 to May 2.
D.  Discuss and take action to order election.
E.  Discuss and take action to approve ceiling tile replacement in the cafeteria.
F.  Discuss and take action to approve the resolution regarding the extracurricular status of the 4-H Organization and Adjunct Faculty Agreement for 2024-2025 school year with Jones County, Fisher County, and Nolan County.
H.  Discuss and take action to resolve deficit in cafeteria charges in order to enter into CEP.
I.  Discuss and take action to compensate school guardians through School Safety Grant Cycle 2 Monies.

Closed Session

A. Personnel Matters: The board is not required to conduct an open meeting to deliberate the appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of a public officer or employee or to hear a complaint or charge against an officer or employee. However, the board may not conduct a closed meeting for these purposes if the officer or employee who is the subject of the deliberation or hearing requests a public hearing. Tex. Gov’t Code § 551.074.

B. Security Personnel, Devices, Audits: The board is not required to conduct an open meeting to deliberate the deployment, or specific occasions for implementation, of security personnel or devices, or to deliberate a security audit. Tex. Gov’t Code § 551.076.

C. Information Resource Technology Security: The board is not required to conduct an open meeting to deliberate security assessments or deployments relating to information resources technology; certain network security information; or the deployment, or specific occasions for implementation, of security personnel, critical infrastructure, or security devices. Tex. Gov’t Code § 551.089.

D. Emergency Management: The board is not required to conduct an open meeting to deliberate information confidential under Texas Government Code sections 418.175-.182, relating to emergency management or disaster planning. However, the board must make a tape recording of the proceedings of a closed meeting held to deliberate the information. Tex. Gov’t Code § 418.183(f).
