D. CALL TO THE PUBLIC
Individuals will speak at the beginning of the meeting. (Board members will not be able to respond to comments from the audiences that are not agenda items (A.R.S.38-432.02 (h). Each patron will be allowed 3 minutes to address the board. During an open session, the Board shall not hear personal complaints against school personnel or a person connected with the district. Policies KE and KEB are provided by the board for disposition of legitimate complaints, including those involving individuals. |

E.1. Business Manager's Report - Mrs. Sharon Rodriguez
Mrs. Rodriguez reported the state issued new budget numbers on November 1st, based on the most recent financial reports. If the Constitutional Aggregate Expenditure Limit is not overridden. Santa Cruz Union High School District stands to be forced to cut $684,840.00 from its budget. As of February 8, 2023 student count is 383 No changes on the Bond |
E.2. Food Director's Report - Mr. Ricardo Cazares
Mr. Cazares reported 856 breakfast and 3412 lunch meals were served in January. Total of participants approved for Free meals end of month: 260. Total of participants approved for Reduced-Price meals: 59. Total of participants approved for Paid meals: 67 Mr. Cazares submitted the monthly expenses to revenue report. |
E.3. Facilities Director's Report - Mr. Hector Longoria
Mr. Longoria submitted a list of work orders which were addressed by the custodial staff. |
E.4. Athletic Director's Report - Mr. Mike Ibarra
Mr. Ibarra reported Wrestling Sectionals take place February 11 – 12, 2023 at Mogollon High School in Heber and Wrestling State takes place February 16 – 18, 2023 at Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Phoenix. Spring sports season officially began on February 6, 2023, softball, baseball, Boys/Girls tennis, Boys/Girls track and golf. Gabby Montijo applied for volunteer baseball coach; Kristina Blanco applied for track coach. Boys/Girls basketball and Boys/Girls soccer ended with no playoffs in their season. |
