Description:
As a good practice, the board should accept the consent agenda for the evening's meeting which includes minutes of the October 6 special meeting (open and closed sessions).

5. Extended Continuity of Learning Plan - October Approval
Description:
On August 20, 2020 Governor Whitmer signed House Bill 5913 into law as Public Act 149. Section 98a states that in order to receive state aid for 2020-2021, districts must provide for instruction under an extended COVID-19 Learning Plan ("Plan") that has been approved by an intermediate district or authorizing body. Each month, until June 2021, the BOE must reaffirm the district's Plan. The Plan is attached.
RECOMMENDATION: It is the recommendation of the superintendent to reaffirm the district's Extended Continuity of Learning Plan as attached. 7. Staff Update - Athletic Director
Description:
Jill Peterson has assumed sole Athletic Director duties (in addition to continuing her role as Communications Specialist) since July 1. The BOE is being asked to approve the attached contract for Ms. Peterson.

8. Administrative Contract Compensation Approval
Description:
CPS Administration did not receive compensation increases July 1, when other district groups did. Now that the district has a better idea of 2020-21 funding, the Board is asked to approve the compensation changes per the attached spreadsheet.
RECOMMENDATION: It is the recommendation of the superintendent to approve the compensation changes as attached. Description:
Laura Schmidt was notified of her recall from layoff on October 2. Mark VanderKlok received the attached resignation email on October 4, indicating that she had accepted a job at another district.
RECOMMENDATION: It is the recommendation of the superintendent to accept Laura Schmidt's resignation as elementary social worker.
